Defender is a collection of short stories by Andreas Steinhöfel . The subtitle, stories from the Middle of the , refers to his novel The Middle of the World . There are shorter and longer stories about individual characters that appear in the center of the world , and they play in the same city. Some of them have been perceived as marginal figures or silhouettes, illuminated now Steinhöfel it again and gives them a story.
